Q3 2026 Convergence Report

The robot got a passport. The grid got a waiting list.

In Q3 2026 automation stopped being only a technology decision. On July 28 the FCC put foreign-made humanoids and mobile robots on its Covered List, while the IFR showed China installing 59% of the world's new industrial robots. In the same weeks PJM came up 6,831 MW short of what it needs to keep the lights on, because data centers filled the forecast. Your next line now depends on where the robot was made and whether you get a grid connection before someone else does.
